About The Position
Salud is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team, providing welcoming care to patients. The role involves being the first point of contact for patients before they see a Doctor, NP, or PA, determining the nature of their visit, and obtaining vital signs. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for thorough and concise chart documentation for clear communication and maintaining a clean and organized environment for patients and staff. The clinic environment is described as lively, with a focus on treating patients with respect and concern for their well-being while fostering a fun and vibrant atmosphere.
Requirements
- Current Medical Assistant Certificate.
- A Medical Assistant not certified/registered upon hire is required to complete the Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire.
- All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment.
- Medical Assistants without any formal Medical Assistant training are required to have a current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.
- This position REQUIRES a Medical Assistant (MA) Certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, preferred.
- Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide welcoming care to patients.
- Determine the nature of the patient’s visit.
- Obtain vital signs.
- Provide thorough and concise chart documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.
Benefits
- $21 to $28.50 per hr.
- Monday to Friday – 8 am to 5 pm
