About The Position

Mission Hospital is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on Medical Cardiology. The PCT is a vital member of the collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The role involves assisting with patients’ daily needs, helping RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans, and providing attentive, empathetic support that promotes comfort and dignity.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in North Carolina.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitoring patient conditions, and carrying out care plans.
