Medical Assistant PRN
About The Position
MD Now, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support patient care at its urgent care locations. The role involves preparing patients and exam rooms, assisting physicians with clinical procedures, supporting laboratory and phlebotomy needs, and coordinating follow-up care. Willingness to travel or float among MD Now locations within an assigned area is preferred. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Medical Assisting or complete an approved program (BOTP).
- Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
- At least one year of experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred.
- Experience using an EHR system is helpful.
- AAMA certification is helpful.
- Ability to obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certificate and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatment by taking histories and vital signs.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms, including maintaining supplies and equipment and sterilizing instruments.
- Administer injections and assist with laboratory testing and phlebotomy.
- Assist physicians with applying splints, dressings, and bandages.
- Assist with patient transfers and schedule follow-up care.
- Coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
- Screen incoming calls for referral to physicians and practitioners.
- Travel or float among MD Now locations within the assigned area, if needed (preferred).
