About The Position

We are seeking an experienced PRN Medical Assistant to provide coverage as needed in Austin-area medical clinics, with no guaranteed hours. The Medical Assistant will be trained in the clinic’s environment to administer patient screenings as part of preventive wellness exams, including BMI, retinal exams, spirometry, ANS, and lower-extremity arterial exams. The role requires a positive, self-directed, independent team member who can work in a fast-paced environment and has computer, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.

The employee must be able to assist at the following locations when needed: 1106 Clayton Lane, Austin, TX 78723; 1500 W 38th Street, Austin, TX 78731; and 500 W Whitestone Blvd., Cedar Park, TX 78613. The employee must be available to train for full-time hours for up to two weeks. PRN shifts vary from week to week based on business needs.

Requirements

• Experienced Medical Assistant.

• Must be able to assist at all three listed clinic locations when needed.
• Computer, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain accurate electronic patient records.
• Ensure patient rooms are clean, sterilized, safe, and organized, with adequate supplies and well-functioning equipment.
• Perform patient screenings, including diagnostic testing; training is provided.
• Communicate with diverse patients and explain the screening process in a way that helps them feel at ease.
• Deliver compassionate patient care and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain the standards of clinical practice.
