About The Position

The Medical Assistant may serve in the capacity of a clinical medical assistant or office receptionist, depending on the needs of the physician office. As a clinical medical assistant, the role involves providing nursing care to patients under the direction of a physician. This includes receiving patients, performing vital signs, collecting specimens, administering injections, documenting charts, communicating clinical information, maintaining clinical logs, and assisting other staff. As an office receptionist, the role is responsible for daily front office operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, assembling charts, collecting co-pays and balances, forwarding messages, and entering patient demographic information.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited institution
  • Prior experience in another physician office practice

Responsibilities
