About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma plus either completion of a college degree or a Medical Assistant program required
• Excellent communication skills
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment
• Well-organized with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Empathetic with patient needs and concerns
• Ability to work well with provider, anticipating their needs in regard to patient treatment
• Knowledge of medical and skin care terminology
• Proficient with general computer skills
• Able to stand for long periods of time

Nice To Haves

• Prior EHR (EMA) experience is a plus
• Prior dermatology or plastic surgery experience is preferred
• Medical assistant certification is preferred
• 1-2 years of prior experience in a dermatology or cosmetic/surgical clinic setting working as a medical assistant or clinical assistant preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting the physician with patient care, including obtaining history, chief complaint, and consents
• Assisting with cosmetic procedures (including Botox, fillers, etc.)
• Preparing exam rooms
• Escorting patients to room
• Preparing them for provider
• Assisting in patient education regarding aftercare protocols and what to expect after treatment
• EHR charting
• Stocking of rooms
• Turnover of rooms
• Reviewing and managing schedule to ensure appointments are scheduled appropriately and supplies needed for procedure are available
