About The Position
Swift Transportation is hiring Diesel Mechanics in Temple, Texas. The role involves maintaining and repairing tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment, helping keep the company’s fleet operating safely and efficiently. The schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., on a rotating 4,3,3,4 schedule. Pay is $22–$30 per hour, with a quarterly bonus program. Swift provides technician training and opportunities for growth and advancement.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Complete repairs ranging from basic maintenance to complex component replacements.
- Help keep the fleet operating safely and efficiently.
