About The Position
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of hotel systems and equipment. The role requires a practical, detail-oriented professional who can work independently or as part of a team and follow health and safety guidelines. The goal is to keep hotel buildings and common areas in the best possible condition. Flexible scheduling availability may be required, and weekly hours vary based on guest occupancy, season, staffing, and other factors; a specific number of weekly hours is not guaranteed. The role includes responding to maintenance needs throughout the hotel, supporting preventative maintenance, completing shift reports, and assisting with exterior upkeep during bad weather when required. Employees are expected to provide excellent guest service, respond to emergencies on short notice, and know hotel emergency procedures. Requirements

- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Recognize, report, and correct potential safety hazards, and notify supervisors of damages, deficits, and disturbances.
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet, and tile floor maintenance and repairs.
- Complete painting, minor roof repairs, and other exterior projects.
- Repair pool and exercise room equipment when necessary.
- Participate in preventative maintenance programs.
- Check consumable stock levels and replace items when appropriate.
- Work with the Chief Engineer and Management team on technical and skilled projects.
- Prepare necessary reports for the management team during each shift.
- Report to the hotel in bad weather when required to maintain the exterior, including snow shoveling and ice melting.
- Complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent guest service and remain readily available and approachable to guests.
- Respond to emergency situations on short notice and know hotel emergency procedures.
