About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of progressively responsible facility maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibilities, project management, inspection coordination, contractor oversight, preventative maintenance, or maintenance program administration.
• At least two years of plumbing, mechanical, and/or electrical experience.
• At least one year of aquatics maintenance experience.
• Valid Class "C" drivers license with good driving record.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certificate required within six (6) months of hire if not currently held.
• TDA Pesticide Applicator Vector license within six (6) months of hire if not currently held.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Certified Professional Facility Manager (CPFM)
• HVAC Technician Certification
• Electrician Apprentice license with electrical working experience or above
• Plumbing Apprentice license with plumbing work experience or above
• Boiler Certificate of Operation or Boiler Inspector license

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, oversees, and performs maintenance and repair activities for recreation facilities.
• Ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operations of facilities.
• Maintains high standards of appearance, functionality, and condition of equipment, amenities, and spaces.
• Supervises, prioritizes, assigns, and evaluates the work of assigned employees.
• Oversees and evaluates work of contractors and vendors.
• Performs maintenance of building systems, aquatics systems, fitness equipment, facility assets, and related infrastructure.
• Manages preventative maintenance programs, maintenance contracts, inspections, testing, certifications, maintenance records, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates and performs setup, breakdown, transportation, and storage of city and facility assets for events, programs, and activities.
