About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, or asset management.
• Knowledge of financial statement analysis, valuation, financial modeling, and public company reporting, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings.
• A solid foundation in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, or investor relations CRM platforms such as Q4 or S&P Capital Access.
• Clear communication skills, including the ability to turn complex financial and operating information into a compelling, accurate story.
• Precision, integrity, and a commitment to building trust with the investment community.
• Curiosity about markets, competitors, and ways to communicate Yelp’s story.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines, especially during earnings season.

• Experience with technology, internet, or marketplace companies.
• MBA and/or CFA designation.

Responsibilities

• Help drive the quarterly earnings process, including the shareholder letter, earnings call script, Q&A materials, and investor presentation.
• Partner with the Director of Investor Relations to plan and carry out Yelp’s IR strategy, including investor targeting, conference schedules, and executive meeting preparation.
• Develop Yelp’s investor messaging so its strategy, business drivers, and financial results are communicated clearly and consistently.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with buy-side investors and sell-side analysts, including inbound inquiries, meeting logistics, and follow-ups.
• Speak with investors at conferences, non-deal roadshows, and one-on-one meetings, alongside executives and eventually independently.
• Provide leadership with timely insights on market sentiment, analyst models, consensus estimates, peer performance, and shareholder base trends.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, Legal, Corporate Communications, and business leaders to gather and validate information for external disclosures.
• Develop expertise in Yelp’s business model, key operating metrics, competitive landscape, and relevant industry and macro trends.
• Help maintain the investor relations website, support the annual shareholder meeting, and follow Regulation FD and disclosure best practices.
