About The Position

Landstar is seeking a College Intern to provide professional-level support to the International and Air Operations department while gaining real-world experience. This internship is designed for juniors and seniors majoring in International Business Administration or Logistics. The intern will utilize polished written communication skills for daily interactions with agents and demonstrate the ability to learn software systems quickly to be successful in this role.

Requirements

  • Juniors or Seniors currently enrolled in university level programs with course load focus/majors in International Business Administration and/or Logistics
  • Good working knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities and seaports.
  • Computer skills including MS Office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to multi-task

  • Previous office environment work or internship experience

Responsibilities

  • Execute the systems set up of new customers and vendors
  • Finalize shipment files
  • Produce revenue and volume reports for management
  • Produce reports on purchased transportation
  • Produce corporately required reports
  • Provide rate quotation assistance
