About The Position

Support continuous-improvement and operational-excellence initiatives in an approximately 150-employee manufacturing facility. The intern will work with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and production employees to identify waste, improve processes, support Kaizen events, and implement measurable plant-floor improvements. The intern will own at least one improvement project, such as an assembly-line time study and rebalance, 5S or Kaizen event, standardized-work development, bottleneck reduction, workstation ergonomic improvement, material-flow improvement, capacity analysis, or value-stream map. Projects should include measurable results whenever practical. Success includes completing Kaizen actions with documented and sustained results and presenting a significant improvement project that covers the problem, baseline, actions, results, and recommended next steps.
