About The Position
Tektronix is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. The role partners with business and finance leaders to support forecasting, planning, financial reporting, and analysis, and helps translate financial results into meaningful business insights. It offers challenging assignments in a collaborative environment, broad exposure to Tektronix operations and company-wide financial processes, and opportunities to grow financial and business knowledge, build relationships across the organization, and develop capabilities for future Finance roles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Intellectual curiosity and interest in understanding the business behind the numbers.
- Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across teams and functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate financial information clearly.
- Self-motivation, adaptability, and comfort learning through new and challenging assignments.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or a related analytical role; relevant internship, academic, or equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Knowledge of financial statements and GAAP.
- Experience with financial planning or reporting systems, Power BI, Power Query, or other data and workflow-automation tools.
Responsibilities
- Support monthly financial close, reporting, and forecasting processes.
- Analyze actual results and variances to forecast, plan, and prior periods, identifying key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with business leaders to develop forecasts and support financial decision-making.
- Support the annual planning process, including developing schedules, conducting financial analysis, and preparing presentation materials.
- Prepare recurring financial reports and ad hoc analyses to support business needs.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and explain the story behind the numbers.
- Develop financial models and analyses to support business cases, investments, and other business initiatives.
- Partner with Accounting to research actual results and support accurate financial reporting.
- Communicate financial results and insights clearly to Finance and business partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, analysis, and workflow efficiency.
