About The Position
The Fire Extinguisher Technician is based out of the company’s Austin, Texas district office and performs scheduled or unscheduled maintenance on fire extinguishers in residential and commercial spaces. The role includes inspecting, maintaining, repairing, replacing, filling, tagging, servicing, and testing extinguishers, as well as completing inspection reports. The technician must be able to work independently and use provided personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- Fire extinguisher experience is required.
- A Texas FEL-A, FEL-B, or FEL-K license is required.
- Understanding of NFPA and building and fire codes.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and/or annual inspections and preventative maintenance services on fire extinguishers of various sizes.
- Repair, replace, fill, and tag fire extinguishers.
- Service and test fire extinguishers.
- Complete electronic and/or handwritten inspection reports.
- Work independently and use provided personal protective equipment.
