About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial transactions and reporting. This position reports to the Plant Controller and is part of the Finance department located in Lodi, CA and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support monthly close activities, including preparing journal entries, assisting with accruals, and reviewing financial data related to work order variances, NCR reserves, scrap, and KPI reporting. Cost accounting responsibilities include item costing for new manufacturing items and during annual standard cost roll, monthly close entries and reporting for operations and capital asset expenses. You will perform analysis and special projects such as Kaizens and process improvements. You will work with Operations and support business units on cost analysis, forecasting and annual budget. You will provide support for monthly Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) and quarterly Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field with 5+ years experience OR Master's degree in field with 3+ years experience OR doctoral degree in field with 0-2 years experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Manufacturing cost accounting experience including standard costing, item costing, BOM analysis, labor standards, and production variance analysis
  • Strong ERP systems experience.
