About The Position

We're seeking an experienced Assistant Executive Director to partner with the Executive Director in leading the daily operations of our community. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for supporting operational excellence, developing department leaders, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving occupancy and financial goals, and creating an exceptional experience for every resident, family member, and associate. The ideal candidate is a confident, servant-minded leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads with integrity, and is passionate about serving older adults while building a culture where people love to live and work.

Requirements

  • Current Missouri LNHA (Licensed Nursing Home Administrator) or RCAL (Residential Care/Assisted Living) license required.
  • 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or a related industry.
  • Proven success leading multiple departments, developing leaders, and driving operational excellence.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and organizational performance.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and quality standards within senior living.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure while balancing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Executive Director to lead all day-to-day community operations.
  • Provide executive leadership for all Assisted Living and Memory Care operations.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop department leaders while building a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Champion Legendary Hospitality and ensure every resident and family experience reflects the Senior Star Promise.
  • Drive occupancy, resident satisfaction, associate engagement, and financial performance.
  • Support budgeting, operational planning, and business decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Build strong relationships throughout the community and serve as a visible, approachable leader.
  • Help cultivate a sales-focused culture that supports community growth and long-term success.
