About The Position

The Gloucester Marine Terminal, operated by Gloucester Terminals LLC, provides stevedoring and break bulk services. Requirements

  • 2+ years automotive or equipment mechanic experience OR Technical School diploma

Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks to maintain vehicle functional condition
  • Inspecting and testing equipment
  • Complete preventative maintenance, such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, replacing filters, etc.
  • Repairing engine failures
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions
  • Replacing parts and components
  • Listening to and understanding operator complaints
  • Verify vehicle capability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems
  • Maintain equipment records by documenting service and repairs
  • Possess a basic knowledge of parts and parts ordering
  • Advance career knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, etc.
  • Upkeep vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Utilize safe working practices and obey all company safety policies
  • Able to work satellite sites no further than 10 miles travel distance
