About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Wood Products, Forestry, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to understand and apply mathematical calculations and concepts.
• Computer skills across multiple types of applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in a STEM-related field.
• 0–4 years of experience in a related job function.
• Comfort working in a plant environment and with diverse teams.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Experience in continuous manufacturing operations and knowledge of wood products.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools, facilitation, troubleshooting, and process controls.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve plant performance in safety, quality, production output, and operating cost.
• Conduct research and experiments and gather data in a plant environment.
• Lead action teams to drive results.
• Study current production processes and recommend improvements using the Boise Improvement Cycle.
• Develop knowledge of plant and regional operations across multiple business areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
