About The Position
The Support Staff position ensures patient flow from intake through completion of the patient visit. It also coordinates care, provides medical and disease education, and conducts outreach for Access medical patients during and between visits to address their needs and inquiries. The position actively manages patients’ immediate and ongoing needs, with attention to acute and preventive intervention. The role is available on a 0.6–1.0 FTE schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with no nights, weekends, or holidays. Compensation starts at $21.80 and is adjusted based on experience. Regular full- and part-time staff working at least 20 hours per week are eligible for the listed benefits. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment. Reasonable accommodations may be available for individuals unable to be vaccinated because of a disability or sincerely held religious beliefs, where accommodation does not compromise others’ safety or impose undue hardship. Access Community Health Centers is an eligible employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
Requirements
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, or RMA), or Emergency Medical Technician.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is a condition of employment, subject to the stated reasonable-accommodation policy.
Nice To Haves
- One year or more of experience as an LPN, CMA, or EMT.
- Previous work experience in a medical primary clinic setting.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
