About The Position

AMR is hiring full-time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance. EMTs deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. They assess patients, determine necessary care, and provide emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. They document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights, and help keep the patient environment safe, clean, and well stocked. EMTs operate ambulances in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws. They work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs, and may participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and build community relations. AMR is part of Global Medical Response (GMR), whose teams provide compassionate medical care, primarily in emergency and patient relocation services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT license.
• State driver’s license.
• BLS and NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills, including communication, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and applicable traffic laws.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
