About The Position

Emergency Medical Technicians respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. They assess patients, determine necessary care, and provide emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. EMTs document patient information, condition, and treatment while protecting confidentiality and patient rights. They help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment; operate ambulances in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws; and work professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. EMTs may also participate in community programs to support the company’s image and community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT license.
• State driver’s license.
• BLS and NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate EMT skills, communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools to provide care.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with applicable company safety policies and traffic laws.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations.
