About The Position

AMR is hiring full-time and part-time Emergency Medical Technicians in Streator, Illinois. EMTs respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. The listed pay rate is $17.00 per hour. AMR is part of Global Medical Response (GMR), whose teams provide compassionate, quality medical care, primarily in emergency and patient relocation services. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
State EMT license.
State driver’s license.
BLS certification.
NREMT.
Driving record compliant with company policy.
Pass a Physical Agility Test.
Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
Use appropriate EMT skills and equipment, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws applicable to emergency medical response vehicles.
Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
