About The Position

Emergency Medical Technicians respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide patients with high-quality care, treatment, and customer service. They assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. EMTs document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights, and help keep the care environment safe, clean, and well stocked. They operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and applicable traffic laws, and work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. EMTs may also participate in community programs to support AMR’s image and community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT license.
• State driver’s license.
• BLS certification.
• NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
