About The Position

MedTrust, an MMT Ambulance Company, is hiring part-time EMTs to provide interfacility ambulance patient transportation for healthcare partners in the Grand Strand and South Myrtle Beach area. EMTs provide patient care and basic life support, operate and maintain emergency vehicles, document care, and support fellow EMS providers while following company and local agency policies and protocols. The role requires physical agility and the ability to work effectively in demanding environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Current EMT certification.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, sit, kneel, and lift up to 125 lbs, and push or pull objects over 50 lbs.
• Ability to maintain physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environments.
• Ability to tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance.
• Ability to perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Administer basic life support treatments within the EMT scope.
• Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in compliance with laws.
• Deliver competent patient care in various settings.
• Apply EMS procedures in practical situations.
• Interact professionally with healthcare personnel.
• Document information accurately in the charting system.
• Assist fellow EMS providers and provide comprehensive reports.
• Maintain equipment, cleanliness, and stocked supplies.
• Follow company and local agency policies and protocols.
• Maintain a clean appearance and professional, ethical behavior.
