About The Position
PABCO® Gypsum, a division of PABCO® Building Products LLC, has provided quality gypsum board products and service for over 35 years. PABCO® Gypsum supplies a complete line of gypsum products for commercial and residential construction. At the Las Vegas location, the company makes Gypsum Wallboard. The Customer Service Rep/Dispatcher's role is to help manage customer orders and work with transportation companies to ensure deliveries are made.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two (2) years related experience and/or training
Nice To Haves
- Previous customer service experience for a manufacturing company
- Previous dispatching experience
- Attention to detail and order entry experience
Responsibilities
- Receives and processes incoming customer orders for materials and/or products from company employees or individual customers.
- Prepares order paperwork for shipment and/or secures freight carriers as required.
- Routes orders to departments for filling and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
- May resolve routine issues with carriers, including customer complaints, liability issues, and rate discrepancies.
- Provides customer support by answering general product questions, directing customers to website, and distributing product brochures and samples.
- Enters purchase orders into SAP.
- Updates and maintains freight rate tables in SAP.
- Informs customers of shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
