About The Position

The Waterpark Dispatcher protects the safety of members and participants in and around the water slides at Gold Rush Waterpark and the Back Forty Swimmin’ Hole. The role helps prevent accidents by ensuring adherence to Double JJ Resort policies and program standards. It also involves customer service, cash register operation, and cleaning duties.

Requirements

Must be at least 15 years of age.
Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing with members and staff and to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and procedures.
Basic math skills, including proper handling of cash.
Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
Must have open availability and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and school breaks.

Responsibilities

Enforce slide rules in accordance with Double JJ policies and safety procedures.
Supervise the slide area, including the top of the slide and designated slide catch pool.
Monitor slide participants and communicate with the slide attendant at the bottom of the slide to help ensure their safety.
Remain at the slide during operation.
Perform opening and closing procedures and pre- and post-shift checks.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude and a high standard of customer service.
Communicate safety issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Perform cleaning duties, including picking up trash and tubes, sweeping, scrubbing, and cleaning surfaces, along with other miscellaneous cleaning tasks.
Check in guests, verify waivers, sell retail items, and operate the cash register.
Perform other duties as assigned.
