About The Position

The Waterpark Dispatcher is responsible for protecting the safety of members and participants in and around the water slides at the Gold Rush Waterpark and Back Forty Swimmin’ Hole facilities. The role helps prevent accidents by ensuring participants follow Double JJ Resort policies and program standards. It also includes customer service, guest check-in, waiver verification, retail sales, cash register operation, and cleaning duties.

Requirements

Must be at least 15 years of age.
Must communicate well verbally and in writing with members and staff and be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and procedures.
Basic math skills, including proper handling of cash.
Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
Must have open availability and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and school breaks.

Responsibilities

Enforce slide rules in accordance with Double JJ policies and safety procedures.
Supervise the slide area, including the top of the slide and designated slide catch pool.
Monitor slide participants to ensure their safety.
Communicate with the slide attendant at the bottom of the slide to help ensure participant safety.
Remain in position at the slide while it is operating.
Perform opening and closing procedures and pre- and post-shift checks.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude and provide a high standard of customer service.
Communicate safety issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Perform cleaning duties during shifts, including picking up trash and tubes, sweeping, scrubbing, cleaning surfaces, and other miscellaneous cleaning tasks.
Check in guests and verify waivers.
Sell retail items and operate the cash register.
Perform other duties as assigned.
