About The Position

Requirements

• Certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or equivalent.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Successful completion of a background check, including a drug screen, as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinically excellent dental care through patient education and quality treatment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists with diagnosis by taking X-rays, communicating verbally, and performing other dental tests as directed.
• Prepare treatment rooms by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Sterilize and deliver instruments to the treatment area, position instruments for dentist access, suction, and pass instruments.
• Place and finish permanent restorations; take preliminary impressions; make and polish temporary crowns; remove temporary crowns; and fit permanent crowns and bridges.
• Adjust occlusions and interproximal areas, apply sealants, and adjust partials and dentures.
