About The Position
Dental Health Associates is hiring a full-time Orthodontic Assistant to support Dr. Ammar Alsamawi in a travel position rotating between the Fitchburg and Gammon locations. The position is four days per week, with a consistent weekly day off and a predictable schedule. The locally owned, doctor-led practice describes a supportive culture that values employees and their contributions. Candidates may be experienced orthodontic assistants or people looking to grow their careers.
Requirements

- Attention to detail and commitment to excellent patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Previous orthodontic or general dental assistant experience.
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, terminology, and equipment.
- Completion of a dental assistant program.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during procedures while ensuring patient comfort and efficiency.
- Prepare, sterilize, and maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
- Take dental x-rays and impressions while following safety protocols.
- Educate patients about orthodontic care, including retainer use and proper oral hygiene.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Promote a positive patient experience through excellent care and communication.
