About The Position

Advanced Dental Care of Riverview is seeking a Dental Assistant in Riverview, Florida, to support the clinical team in delivering patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. The Dental Assistant assists professional dental staff with treatment and supports the practice’s mission to provide excellent dental care in the community. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience. The role includes clinical support, patient care and education, radiography and diagnostic assistance, infection-control and safety compliance, and maintaining patient records. The Dental Assistant also helps the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies and contact information.

Requirements

Prior dental assisting experience.
Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program, or six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation.
X-ray certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection-control training as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake when needed.
Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and an emergency telephone directory.
