About The Position

Advanced Dental Care Mandarin is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant in Jacksonville, Florida. The Dental Assistant supports the clinical team and professional dental staff in delivering patient care and treatment in a team-based, patient-centered practice. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience. The role includes clinical support, patient education and comfort, radiography and diagnostic assistance, compliance with safety and confidentiality requirements, and maintaining patient records. Requirements

• Prior dental assisting experience.
• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program, or six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation.
• X-ray certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection-control training as required by law.

Nice To Haves

• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Welcome, comfort, and educate patients about oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Follow infection-control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and comply with workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake when needed.
• Help dentists manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and an emergency telephone directory.
