Dental Assistant - Entry Level

About The Position
This entry-level Dental Assistant role requires no prior dental experience or certification. The assistant receives paid, hands-on training through Aspen Dental’s partnership with the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB), with a path toward becoming a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). The role supports dentists and the dental team in providing patient care and maintaining clinical operations. The position pays $19–$21 per hour. Scheduling varies by independently owned and operated location; part-time, full-time, and flexible scheduling are available. Aspen Dental practices are independently owned and operated by licensed dentists and receive non-clinical business support services from Aspen Dental Management, Inc.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain radiology and safety certification within the required timeframe for the state of practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Set up and break down the operatory after treatment.
- Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Support patient charting for doctors.
- Perform office tasks as necessary.
- Collaborate with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
