About The Position

Requirements

• 5+ years of sales, business development, account management, or related experience.
• Experience in telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage, data center construction, staffing, or workforce solutions strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications construction and Division 27 scopes.
• Existing relationships within the telecommunications or data center construction industry highly preferred.
• Proven track record of generating new business.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop relationships, negotiate, and close.
• Strong cold calling and outbound sales skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience using CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of a territory or market.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, project visits, and industry events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national sales strategy for AIS's Division 27 workforce solutions.
• Identify upcoming data center, telecommunications, and low-voltage construction projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with telecom contractors, low-voltage contractors, general contractors, and data center construction companies.
• Prospect for new customers through cold calling, email campaigns, networking, referrals, industry events, LinkedIn, and existing relationships.
• Develop a consistent pipeline of qualified Division 27 opportunities.
• Schedule and conduct customer meetings and presentations.
• Understand customer project requirements, manpower needs, project schedules, and labor challenges.
• Develop customized workforce solutions based on customer requirements.
• Prepare proposals, pricing, and sales presentations.
• Negotiate commercial terms and assist in closing new accounts.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.
• Develop long-term customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional projects.
• Maintain regular communication with prospects throughout the sales cycle.
• Work closely with AIS Recruiting and Operations to ensure customer commitments can be successfully fulfilled.
• Focus on selling workforce solutions supporting scopes such as: Data center structured cabling, Fiber optic installation, Fiber optic splicing, Fiber testing and certification, Copper cabling, Data center cable pulling, Cable management, Telecommunications installation, Low-voltage installation, Network infrastructure, ISP infrastructure, OSP infrastructure, MDF/IDF installation, Backbone cabling, Pathways and telecommunications infrastructure, Ladder rack and cable tray installation, Data center connectivity, Other Division 27 telecommunications scopes.
• Expand AIS's presence within the rapidly growing data center construction market.
• Identify new and upcoming data center construction projects.
• Build relationships with contractors before major labor requirements arise.
• Develop relationships with project executives, procurement teams, construction managers, project managers, and operations leadership.
• Understand project phases and anticipated workforce requirements.
• Position AIS as a preferred workforce partner for telecommunications and structured cabling work.
• Develop repeat business across multiple projects and geographic markets.
• Track industry activity and identify new market opportunities.
• Build relationships with companies such as: Telecommunications contractors, Structured cabling contractors, Low-voltage contractors, Electrical contractors with telecommunications divisions, General contractors, Data center contractors, Engineering and construction firms, Infrastructure subcontractors, Data center developers and operators.
• Work closely with AIS leadership and internal teams, including: Recruiting, Sourcing, Operations, Project Management, Division Leadership, Executive Leadership.
• Communicate customer requirements clearly so AIS can recruit and deploy the appropriate workforce.
