About The Position

Unisys Corporation is seeking an experienced On-Site Service Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise data center servers and hardware, including next-generation AI infrastructure. This is a hands-on server hardware and break/fix role focused on diagnosing, repairing, replacing, and maintaining enterprise server hardware in data center, field service, or customer-facing environments. The engineer provides on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware, carries out hardware installation and repairs, troubleshoots system issues, and performs firmware and BIOS updates using server management tools. The role includes reactive break/fix work and preventive maintenance, customer and internal-team communication, service documentation, and escalation of complex issues. Participation in on-call rotations and extended coverage may be required. The role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology, so applicants should be eligible for any required U.S. Government authorizations.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers, data center hardware, or similar infrastructure.
  • Direct, hands-on experience physically installing, removing, diagnosing, repairing, or replacing server hardware components.

  • Strong understanding of server hardware architecture and troubleshooting methodology.
  • Experience with hardware diagnostics, BIOS/firmware, and server management tools.
  • Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently diagnose hardware issues.
  • Comfort working independently in a customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues and resolutions to customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and support flexible/on-call schedules.
  • Applicants should be eligible for any U.S. Government authorizations required for access to export-controlled commodities and technology.
