About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Healthcare admissions, intake, behavioral health, or front-office experience preferred.
• Superb communication, organization, multitasking, and customer-service skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, electronic documentation, and basic computer applications.
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing needs.

Nice To Haves

• STNA, MHT, BHT, or related healthcare/behavioral health experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer referral lines and triage calls from families, emergency departments, and providers with warmth, professionalism, and urgency.
• Verify insurance, gather demographics, obtain required information, and coordinate assessments and admissions.
• Monitor the bed board and collaborate closely with nursing, EVS, security, and other departments to ensure timely room readiness.
• Maintain accurate, real-time logs, dashboards, referral records, and shift handoffs.
• Coordinate with rounding providers and the daytime interdisciplinary team to support timely assessments, admissions, treatment planning, and follow-up needs.
• Communicate with families, referral sources, and clinical teams to facilitate a smooth admissions process and positive experience.
• Support safe and timely discharges by coordinating documentation, transportation, follow-up needs, and communication with the appropriate teams.
• Provide clear and thorough handoffs to evening and night-shift teams, including pending referrals, admissions, discharges, bed availability, and outstanding needs.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming environment while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
