About The Position

The Warranty Coordinator is responsible for managing the incoming warranty packages, determining product eligibility, and maintaining the warranty website. This role involves close collaboration with production, sales, and accounting teams, as well as direct customer interaction. The coordinator will also perform warranty testing, analyze results, and ensure adherence to the company's quality management system.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be opportunity and solution-oriented, self-confident, flexible, and an analyst who can translate data into information.
  • Well organized in a professional manner.
  • Candidates must possess strong initiative and a proven willingness to assume ownership for areas of responsibility.
  • Possess the ability to make informed decisions quickly and independently.
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying incoming warranty packages and determining if the product meets warranty criteria.
  • Maintaining the warranty website by documenting steps throughout the warranty process.
  • Interfacing with production and sales teams to keep them informed of warranty testing results.
  • Assisting and guiding warranty technicians in processing to ensure proper evaluation of product and that results are communicated back to the customer.
  • Ensuring the training of new and existing employees in the processes and methods required to achieve the company’s standards of quality.
  • Interfacing with the accounting team to ensure proper debiting/crediting of warranty claims/products.
  • Serving as the point of contact with customers regarding warranty claims.
  • Preparing products for warranty testing, including cleaning products using chemicals and equipment from the assembly line.
  • Performing testing of warranty products and determining the root cause of failure modes found during testing.
  • Providing analysis of testing results and communicating to management.
  • Handling vendor returns.
  • Operating in conformance with the requirements of the Diesel Forward quality management system.
  • Assisting other employees both in and out of the department.
  • Performing other related projects, duties, and assignments as required.
  • Providing feedback on system needs/changes.
