About The Position
The Event Coordinator oversees the implementation, execution, and follow-up for events hosted on- and off-campus. Creates invitations. Selects sites. Creates seating arrangements. Negotiates with florist, caterers, event space staff, print shops, etc. Manages on-site contract staff, students, and etc. The School of Music faculty, students, guests, and other special events sponsored by the School of Music will have their on-campus and off-campus musical events supervised and coordinated. Additional responsibilities could include creating materials to be used in advertising, social media, direct mail, and other printed materials. Evening, nights and weekend work required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and some event planning or coordination experience; OR associate's degree and two (2) years of event planning or coordination experience; OR high school diploma or GED and four (4) years of event planning or coordination experience.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation.
- Information obtained from social media and other internet sources will be reviewed.
