About The Position

This role serves as the primary coordinator for domestic and international shipments for Banner Engineering’s distribution center. This position reports to the Shipping Supervisor. According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as: Non-Exempt. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of domestic and international shipping experience
  • Working knowledge of Oracle and Logistyx software
  • Ability to read and understand shipping documents
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and Wave equipment.
  • Experience using Excel and Adobe
  • Experience with shipping Hazmat products domestically and internationally
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, lead initiatives, analyze data
  • Bilingual skills or experience working with diverse teams

Responsibilities

  • Preparing documentation and forms for work requirements in areas of assignment to load, upload, pull, pick, deliver, or transport materials and product, including Hazardous Material shipments.
  • Reviewing, verifying, and entering incoming and outgoing orders, materials, and transportation information with proper documentation; notifying Customer Service Representatives of late or open deliveries; ensuring all necessary internal contacts are aware of the situation; and recommending a course of action to resolve issues.
  • Working with Trade Compliance to ensure EEI information is up to date and complete.
  • Investigating cost discrepancies for parcel and freight shipments as requested by Customer Service.
  • Creating mock shipments to help set distributor and customer cost expectations.
  • Monitoring various SQL reports, including open deliveries, over-reservations, and customer credit holds.
  • Maintaining PODs for outbound freight and parcels as needed.
  • Troubleshooting shipping errors in Logistyx and working with the Operations team to resolve software issues.
  • Performing a variety of shipping, receiving, and material-handling duties, such as pulling, picking, staging, moving, transporting, and delivering materials, as well as packing and shipping products.
  • Assisting with responding to daily questions and concerns from Customer Service and Trade Compliance.
  • Supporting remote distribution warehouses as needed, including potential travel to assist with distribution and warehouse operations, such as the upcoming southern border location.
  • Assisting with maintaining a clean and safe work environment and performing various janitorial or housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
