About The Position
Athens Technical College is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) Program Coordinator/Instructor. The position oversees the program in its entirety and delivers instruction in classroom, clinical, simulation, and laboratory settings. The Coordinator/Instructor implements and evaluates curriculum, oversees in-facility test dates scheduled by the program, and works with regulators to maintain full accreditation. Other work duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Current and valid Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Two years of nursing experience as an RN, including at least one year in a long-term care facility (nursing home).
- Completion of a course in teaching adults, or experience teaching adults and/or supervising nurse aides.
- Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree.
- Two years of teaching experience in a CNA program.
- Experience with simulation and technology.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the CNA TCC program in its entirety.
- Oversee in-facility test dates scheduled by the program.
- Teach in simulation and laboratory settings.
- Provide clinical and classroom instruction.
- Implement and evaluate curriculum.
- Work with regulators to maintain full accreditation.
- Perform other work duties as assigned.
