About The Position

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is hiring an RN to provide academic and career technical instruction at the New Orleans Point Job Corps Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The instructor delivers training under approved curricula and provides students with guidance and direction to help them achieve academic and career goals. This is a full-time position with 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certificate in the area of instruction.
Current Louisiana registered nurse (RN) licensure.
Two years of related work experience.
Experience instructing or supervising in a professional environment.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Provide career technical training instruction, direction, and assistance in designated areas.
Use the designated Learning Management System, such as Blackboard, to post instructional materials, facilitate assignments and assessments, and monitor student progress.
Motivate and counsel students about behavior, training, personal problems, and study habits; coordinate with other staff to address issues affecting training.
Develop and prepare lessons, and recommend curriculum changes and supplemental materials.
Model workplace language and behavior in the shop and classroom, and routinely check whether individual students need assistance.
Regularly review and audit assigned areas for contractual compliance and effective service delivery, and prepare related reports.
Participate in student evaluation panels and prepare required documentation and evaluations using CIS and other documentation systems.
Enter case notes into CIS systems within established timelines.
