Requirements
- Current and valid Georgia Registered Nurse (RN).
- Two (2) years of nursing experience as an RN, one (1) of which must have been in a long-term care facility (nursing home).
- Must have completed a course in teaching adults or have experience in teaching adults and/or supervising nurse aids.
- Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.
- Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree
- Two (2) years teaching experience in a CNA Program.
- Experience with simulation and technology.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the program in its entirety.
- Oversee in-facility test dates scheduled by the program.
- Teach in simulation and laboratory settings.
- Clinical and classroom instruction.
- Curriculum implementation and evaluation.
- Work with regulators to maintain full accreditation.
- Perform other work duties as assigned.
