About The Position

Headquartered in Carlsbad, California, with offices and projects across the country, RQ is a privately owned, full-service Design-Build company specializing in fast-track commercial and Department of Defense construction. Our integrated approach combines architecture, engineering, and construction expertise to deliver innovative project solutions nationwide. We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our expanding Engineering team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of unique and challenging projects designed to meet U.S. military standards and requirements. Responsibilities include developing site layouts, preparing grading and drainage plans, supporting civil design efforts, and collaborating closely with Engineers, Designers, and project teams throughout the design process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in civil design
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
- All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
- Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working within the Design-Build construction industry preferred
- Department of Defense (DoD) project experience highly desirable
