About The Position

This position requires you to work in-office and on-site as needed. At Townsquare Media Group, we’re seeking a dependable, team-oriented Part-Time Board Operator who’s eager to learn, grow, and support our on-air, digital, and event operations. This is an entry-level, part-time role ideal for someone with a flexible schedule who enjoys variety, fast-paced environments, and being part of live broadcasts and community events. You’ll work behind the scenes in the studio, out in the community as a brand ambassador, and alongside multiple departments as you build foundational media experience.

  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and vehicle (required)
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Operating control boards for in-studio and remote programming
  • Regulating program timing, playing commercials, and running syndicated content
  • Monitoring the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming
  • Protecting the station’s license by following FCC guidelines and censoring prohibited content when necessary
  • Processing time-out programming to ensure accurate playback
  • Identifying and reporting technical issues to Engineering to maintain broadcast quality
  • Screening incoming phone calls and selecting callers for on-air talent and talk shows
  • Handling emergency inserts such as breaking news, alerts, and system tests
  • Assisting with basic administrative and operational tasks as needed
  • Representing the station at on-site promotions, live remotes, and community events
  • Setting up, operating, and breaking down audio and promotional equipment
  • Recording live events through photos, video, audio, and social content for station promotions
  • Transporting and handling promotional materials and event equipment
