About The Position
The Clinical Director directs and oversees staff who provide mental health and support services to clients and their families. The role may include maintaining a caseload in addition to oversight responsibilities, liaising with external agencies, and working on teams with clinical and support staff. The Clinical Director plans, implements, monitors, and revises the clinical treatment program; represents the agency to county agencies and the community; and may meet with clients, provide direct care and treatment, and participate in the client grievance process. The position is responsible for overall facility and program management and provides direct clinical supervision of BBS-licensed staff, ensuring services meet BBS standards and signing off on BBS hours. The posting describes a voluntary crisis walk-in service available 24/7 in an unlocked setting, serving children, adolescents, adults, and older adults needing immediate crisis mental health support. Services include rapid mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and stabilization, with stays of up to 23 hours. The program supports safe transitions to the next level of care or back to the community.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in family/child counseling, development or psychology, social services, professional counseling, or a related social science field.
- BBS license as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, or PhD.
- Meet agency driver eligibility criteria.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- BLS CPR/First Aid certification.
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
- Four years of direct service experience with people with mental illness, children, adolescents, and/or adults.
- Two years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
- Two years of post-licensure experience and ability to provide clinical supervision to registered interns/associates and/or practicum students.
Responsibilities
