About The Position

Requirements

• Completion of an AutoCAD course at a reputable post-secondary school
• Minimum 3 year of Canadian work experience using AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD features, including model space and paper space, managing Xrefs, and creating viewports to scale
• Ability to read and interpret civil, electrical, architectural, and structural drawings
• Ability to switch between metric and imperial scales
• Strong computer skills and file management practices
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
• Ability to follow instructions, demonstrate a willingness to learn, and maintain a positive, team-focused attitude
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to a changing workload
• High attention to detail; able to work within a team as well as with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Civil 3D and/or Revit.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
• Exposure to BIM/VDC coordination workflows (e.g., working alongside BIM modelers and coordination teams).
• Experience supporting mission-critical or fast-track construction projects (data centers, industrial, or large commercial).

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and issue AutoCAD drawings and plan sets to support construction of hyperscale data centers
• Prepare layouts using model space and paper space; create scaled viewports; apply consistent annotation, line weights, and plotting settings
• Manage external references (Xrefs), sheet organization, and file paths to maintain stable, coordinated drawing packages
• Support drawing management and document control, including naming conventions, revision tracking, plotting to PDF, and maintaining hard copy sets as required
• Coordinate with CAD/BIM, design, and field teams to incorporate markups, RFIs, and as-built updates in a timely manner
• Review incoming drawings/markups for completeness and clarity; flag discrepancies and assist with resolution
• Maintain organized project folders and archives; ensure the right information is available to the right stakeholders
• Participate in continuous improvement of drafting standards, templates, and workflows
