About The Position

Pries Enterprises is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated CAD & Quoting Drafter to support its aluminum extrusion operations. The role creates technical drawings, develops customer quotes, and coordinates information across departments. The successful candidate is organized, communicates effectively, takes pride in accurate work, and enjoys problem-solving in a manufacturing environment. The position creates and maintains AutoCAD drawings of aluminum extrusion profiles, reviews customer requirements to identify manufacturing processes for quoting, gathers internal pricing information, prepares quote packages for review and approval, and maintains die, tooling, reference-file, and documentation records. It also involves communicating with coworkers and other departments, following safety policies, and keeping the work area clean and organized.

Requirements

Proficiency in AutoCAD, including the ability to create and interpret technical drawings.
Ability to interpret customer requirements and identify the manufacturing processes needed for quoting.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and stay organized.
Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain technical drawings of aluminum extrusion profiles using AutoCAD.
Review customer requirements and determine the manufacturing processes needed for quoting.
Gather pricing information from various departments to develop accurate customer quotes.
Prepare quote packages for review and approval before providing them to the Customer Service team.
Develop quotes and maintain accurate die and tooling information.
Create and maintain reference files.
Communicate with coworkers and other departments to gather information and ensure customer needs are met.
Maintain accurate records, technical drawings, and related documentation.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
