About The Position
McElroy Metal is hiring an AutoCAD Drafter for its Corporate office in Bossier City, Louisiana. The position uses the latest AutoCAD software to draft and detail project drawings for metal roof, metal wall, and sub-structural systems. It reports to the Drafting & Estimator Manager and has a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications.
- Experience with AutoCAD 2007 or newer is required.
- Strong math background.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in design technology.
- Two years of drafting experience detailing architectural drawings, metal buildings, metal roof systems, and/or structural steel; this experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Estimating skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
