About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma at minimum.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction and constructive criticism.
• Ability to obtain and maintain at least a Position of Trust Clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with ASME standards, Technical Data Packages, and military drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide drafting support for large, complex parts, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
• Draft and document equipment racks, equipment mounting kits, and equipment subassemblies.
• Create detailed designs and drawings using SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD software and AutoCAD 2D for Technical Data Packages.
• Create and modify solid models and assemblies, and maintain configuration management of engineering drawings.
• Create drawings in accordance with the Engineering Drawing Standards Guide (EDSG) and MIL-STD-31000.
• Use calipers, gage tools, tape measures, and other mechanical devices to support design, development, verification, and validation of prototype fabrications.
• Use Windchill PDMLink for engineering task workflows and configuration-management storage.
• Coordinate with the drafting team lead and project engineer regarding assignments and customer requirements.
• Occasionally travel locally to the customer’s facility to work with engineers and technicians on prototype mounting solutions.
• Support integration of government-furnished equipment and custom metalwork/fabrication for military C4I/C4ISR systems.
