The HDR Arlington office is looking for a Construction Project Architect to be the onsite technical expert in Bethesda, MD and will interact with the project management oversight team as the onsite representative. The Construction Project Architect will assist to resolve problems from minor to major scope and complexity. You will also assist in Quality Assurance and Control reviews of scheduled milestone packages with a particular emphasis towards constructability, coordination and value engineering. In addition, we'll count on you to: Represent a multidiscipline architectural engineering team during construction projects Negotiate, interpret documents and be a team player Conduct meetings with clients, contractors and our project representatives Conduct project observations to determine the progress of the work and general compliance with contract documents Coordinate and assist with providing clarification and enforcement of construction documents, including processing of contractor requests for information Obtain, process, document and maintain records relevant to a project, including but not limited to claims, change proposals and change orders, request for information, correspondence, payment application, contract documents, and other related documentation Demonstrate knowledge while performing QA/QC reviews Perform other duties as needed.
