About The Position

BL Companies is seeking a Senior Architect to contribute to impactful projects and mentor junior architects in a collaborative environment. The role leads the technical aspects of design and documentation across multiple projects, working closely with Senior Project Managers and other disciplines to deliver architectural services to clients. The Senior Architect guides project teams through technical phases from concept through construction, with a focus on project management, detailing, constructability, and document quality. The position is based at the Norwood, Massachusetts office, with hybrid work opportunities available.

Requirements

15 or more years of experience in architectural production for commercial, retail, or industrial projects.
Proficiency in Revit.
Experience with construction documentation.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
A proactive mindset and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

Professional Architect (RA) registration is strongly preferred.
Experience with construction administration.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage technical design and production from concept through construction.
Coordinate and oversee project teams to deliver designs that meet client specifications, emphasizing detailing and constructability.
Serve as a technical authority and primary resource for project teams and clients.
Ensure quality assurance and control of construction documents, with attention to detail accuracy and buildability.
Mentor junior staff through hands-on guidance and technical training.
Contribute to a collaborative project environment and uphold BL Companies' values of accountability, proactivity, and integrity.
